Austin Cole

My little mini-me was born on March 4th, 2014 at 7am. He weighed 4lbs 7oz, and was 17in long. When he was born, we were shocked. The doctors wouldn't let me hold him when he was born but I fought and won that battle. He was diagnosed with CdLS at around 10:30am. We were also told that he had a hole in his heart, which they said would stay stagnant or get worse over time. He wa born with one finger on one hand, and two fused fingers on the other, only one bone in each arm, ptosis, and a beautiful full head of hair. The second I was able to hold my little buddy, I instantly fell in love with him. He had a feeding tube placed through his nose to his stomach while we were in the hospital due to problems with him eating and gaining weight. He is currently going through PT and OT. He is the happiest little boy I have ever seen and even enjoys laying on my chest as i play video games. He never ceases to impress me, overcoming everything that the doctors have told us wouldn't get be tter. He is 4 months old and the most precious little boy I could ever ask for.
